As Rachael Lezcano Perez shares, “The food was absolutely delicious! The variety of sides and the slow-braised meat used in my dish were scrumptious—and the boozy iced coffee was wonderful.” Brad Sherman adds, “Oh my goodness, don’t miss this place when in Chattanooga. The pancakes are like cake—so fluffy and delicious!” Meanwhile, Thomas Edward Carter Jr’s anniversary breakfast was “far beyond expectations,” praising not only the food but the exceptional care from staff.
Ruby Sunshine isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of Southern charm, bold flavors, and genuine hospitality. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Chattanooga, this spot promises a brunch experience that warmly invites you to slow down, savor each bite, and raise a glass to good company and great food.
The food was absolutely delicious! I loved the Buddha bowl. It was $13 and it was worth every cent! The variety of the sides, the drizzle used on the arugula and egg was scrumptious! I loved the slow braised meat used in the dish. I would definitely go again! We also tried the boozy iced coffee and it was wonderful. Our waitress Hannah was incredible.
This was a treat to discover. We attempted another popular breakfast spot across the bridge but the wait was too long. I’m so glad it worked out the way it did because we had a wonderful breakfast at Ruby’s. I can’t imagine the other place could have been better. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and the biscuit was incredible. We had visited Nashville earlier in the week and ate at a famous Nashville staple known for their biscuits and Ruby’s biscuits stood out as superior. I had the fried chicken with French toast bites. I couldn’t even come close to finishing it because the portion was enormous! The chicken with the sweet heat was awesome. The French toast bites were good but my tastes have shifted a bit so I didn’t enjoy them like I probably would have 10 years ago. They had just absorbed too much oil for my taste. We will be back next time we are in Chattanooga and I will prioritize getting a biscuit for sure. Stick that chicken on a biscuit and Chick Fil A can take a hike.
Oh my goodness don't miss this place when in Chattanooga. The pancakes are like cake so fluffy and delicious. The Trifecta is a work of art and so so delicious. Don't miss the beignets. The staff was wonderful. Brunchtastic spot.
My wife and I were in town celebrating our 5th anniversary and we came here for breakfast and it far exceeded my expectations! We sat at the bar-top area and Leann the bartender took care of us . She was friendly and professional! If you’re ever in town give this place a try for breakfast!!! Highly recommended!!!!!
Love it , great service, atmosphere and vibes , our server / bartender LEANN K was amazing, always checking on us , I know that is a what a server is supposed to do, but sometimes you don’t received …. So 100% recommend and don’t be afraid to seat in the bar
Went on Monday so we were sat immediately. Sat outside which was so nice. Even with the traffic coming up and down the street it wasn’t too loud to hold a normal conversation. Food was outstanding. Service was impeccable. Kelly our waitress was so sweet and nice. On top of everything. Took very good care of us. Loved the New Orleans accent too!
Ruby Sunshine delivers an great brunch experience, proving their commitment to quality service. We visited during the Ironman competition, when the city was packed and the service remained incredibly fast and friendly. The atmosphere is vibrant, with that casual but fun energy we felt when visiting the Ruby Slipper in New Orleans. The food itself lives up to the promise of a "great fresh breakfast." Their menu is known for incorporating Southern classics with a Big Easy twist. Everything we ordered was made from scratch and tasted fresh. While the entire menu is tempting, we are a huge fan of their omelets. I had the spanish omelet this time and it was awesome! This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving a genuinely delicious and freshly prepared brunch. The combination of speed, friendliness, and quality makes Ruby Sunshine a great choice if you’re in the area!
We had a fantastic breakfast at Ruby Sunshine. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Pig Omelette was huge, packed with flavor, and came with a fluffy biscuit and their incredible house-made butter. The French toast bites were perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The fried chicken on the Chicken & French Toast Bites was cooked to perfection with a crunchy coating and juicy inside. We also loved the Bread Pudding Pancakes. They really did taste like bread pudding in pancake form! Great atmosphere and friendly, fast service. We were seated right away with no wait during breakfast hours, which was a big plus. This spot is a must-visit for a hearty and flavorful Southern breakfast!
